We met in an Italian language immersion school in Montepulciano, Italy. We hit it off right away and decided to spend our first day out of class exploring nearby villages. This gem in the distance is Civita di Bagnoregio.

In those early days, we started getting to know each other at long, amazing dinners in Montepulciano.

Welcome to Florida in January! This was Gerrit's first time visiting me in the US.

We made it St. Augustine, FL while the holiday lights were still up.

When in the US, we've had the luxury of traveling often to spend time with friends and family or explore new places together. This was a special night out with the best Chicago has to offer!

In June we took a few weeks to explore Namibia and South Africa. Gerrit was right at home guiding, camping and tracking in these stunning places! We felt so lucky to watch herds of animals come to drink from this river.
